IMS P Spreading machine with 3-point attachment

The IMS P is the spreader for any tractor with a 3-point attachment. The hopper design allows full integration of a wet salt device. Regulated drives and road-connected spreading turn the IMS P into a complete urban spreader.

The tractor series

IMS P - the tractor series Boschung is continuously improving! Influenced by increasing demand for multiple mobilization of tractors, Boschung developed the IMS P for winter maintenance. It comes with professional technology based on the approved modular concept. As usual the optimal spreading results are not dependent on size. The hopper capacities of the IMS P range from 1.0 to 2.0 m3 and offer an excellent rear vision due to it’s compact construction. The wide opening of the hopper allows easy and timesaving filling of spreading agents. Excellent driving behaviour was the goal throughout the development of the IMS P. Mounting close to the rear axle – using the 3-point attachment of the tractor – an optimal balance point is guaranteed.

Compact spreaders like the IMS P come with a 12 year warranty against perforation corrosion for all parts with Duplex-refined steel. The complete IMS P-series can be combined individually with technically innovative Boschung accessories like:

  • Universal control unit Vpad
  • Humidification equipment from the Vpad SE
  • TermoMAT (infrared temperature measuring instrument for road surface temperatures) from Vpad SN
  • Data management SDM or
  • BORRMAweb from the Vpad SN

Distributor

Made entirely form stainless steel, use the Boschung spreading agent distributor for precise and even spreading – with or without pre-wetted salt. The Vpad SE opens the possibility for controlled drives and may be equipped for route dependant spreading. The IMS P produces uniform spreading results for widths from 1 – 6 m or optionally 2 – 8 m.

Agent feeding

Constant output rates from the hopper are achieved through balanced dosage conveyance system feeding to the centre of the hopper. This is the basic pre-condition both for an optimal spreading pattern and for increased road-safety. But that’s not all - a steady and gram exact conveyance is obtained through direct hydraulic drive.

Humidification system

Effective spreading using pre-wetted salt is no problem at all with the IMS P. A solid PE-brine tank is fitted perfectly into the hopper envelop – a post manufacture-fitting is also possible. The maintenance-free pump with separate hydraulic circuit guarantees the precise addition of pre-wetted salt. Very convenient: When pre-wetting is selected the spreading density is adjusted automatically.

Hydraulic system

High quality hydraulic components arranged in a  space saving block are easily accessible from the side. The special anti-corrosion protection system includes the hydraulic screw connections and hydraulic hose connections which are manufactured with Zn/Ni layering that in tests achieved perfect protection.

Cabinet

Made from reinforced fibreglass the cabinet offers complete corrosion protection. Completely sealed it offers perfect shelter for the electric and electronic circuitry.

Drive possibilities

Hydraulic supply of IMS P-series may be realised by means of:

  • Carrier vehicle hydraulics “H” (standard)
  • PTO-shaft attachment pump “A” (accessoires)

Vpad : the ideal control system

The Vpad is the ideal control system for IMS P spreading machines. The almost “sightless” handling through the ergonomic design and the acoustic feedback for the spreading-settings eases the handling for any user. Fitted with the latest processor-technology, the Vpad allows perfect control of the spreading machines and takes care of all communication for Surface Condition Management.
