How does ECO control work?

Out of:

  • Driving speed
  • Spreading width and
  • Spreading density

the control unit Vpad® from Boschung permanently calculates the needed amount of hydraulic oil for the spreader drive, thus resulting the required engine rpm.

Reduction of fuel consumption

Due to reduction of engine rpm a relevant amount of fuel is saved, especially in preventive operation with low spreading density.

The reduction may be in various operation modes up to 50 %!

Up to now an auxiliary Diesel engine on a spreaders runs at 2.800 rpm. This rpm may be clearly reduced with low spreading density.

The main reduction is achieved by reduction of oil amount resulting in proportional reduction of hydraulic performance. Additionally fuel consumption is reduced due to lower engine rpm.              

In comparison to the actual control of auxiliary engines a remarkable amount of fuel can be saved!

Operating hours/year = 150 h
Fuel savings/h = 2 liter
Fuel costs/l = 1,30 €

150 h x 2 liter x 1,30 € = 390 € Savings a year + noise reduction for residents and the operator!
